Gum trees and big blocks.
Logan covers a lot of ground. Established brick and tile streets in Springwood, Shailer Park and Daisy Hill. Acreage and big gum trees out around Cornubia, Carbrook and Jimboomba. Newer estates in the south, like Yarrabilba and Park Ridge. The storm prep looks different in each one.
- Gum trees. They drop bark and leaves into the gutters all year, and can drop big limbs. If a large branch hangs over the roof, get an arborist to look at it.
- Brick and tile homes from the 80s and 90s. Check the ridge capping, the pointing and any cracked tiles.
- Acreage. Sheds, carports and long gutter runs. Check the outbuildings, not just the house.
- Rural roads and causeways. If it's flooded, forget it.
